Our January Corvallis Fitness Boot Camp is under way and what a great way it is to begin a New Year and a New You. Remember, no one is asked to do more than they are able. You are challenging yourself and not trying to keep up with anyone else. If you need a break, then take a break and do not worry or feel bad about this. You are a Success just for showing up and taking charge of your health and well being!
*Do not be afraid to push yourself! The human body can withstand a lot and increasing the intensity of your workout is one of the fastest ways to burn calories and lose weight.
*Do not waste a minute! When you are exercising you want to make the most of your time.
*Eating healthy does not cut it! Clients tell me they are eating healthy but they fail to realize the importances of proper portions. Even if you eat that healthy avocado you still have to watch how much of it that you eat. Keep your diet clean and stay away from junk food. It is all about calories going in and calories being burned. Eat less than you burn in a day.
*Crunches do not equal Abs! We all want those flat and washboard abdominal muscles but crunches alone will not do the job nor are they necessarily the best ab exercise. You have to look at the entire package. Eat well, exercise every day, watch portion sizes, and eat small meals more frequently. You cannot see the six pack if it is under a layer of fat. We all have a six pack and we have to get rid of the outer covering of fat for it to be seen. Get at least 30 MINUTES of EXERCISE every day and if your goals are for more than that then let’s talk!
