Aquatic Therapy

waterDeep-water exercise provides advantages in both rehabilitation and fitness.  Water is a very forgiving approach to facilitate healing and start your body back to function. Deep water exercise is usually performed in the vertical position. Flotation devices can be belts, vests or ankle cuffs. Short and long bar dumb bells can be used during the exercise but should not be used for the main source of flotation.

Low back pain benefits from water exercise. You learn to balance your body in the water using your core muscles. Gravity is taken off of the spine during the time you are in the water and all other joints providing a more comfortable environment to work in.
