<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">**<strong>Outdoor Boot Camp is on a break from today  until Friday July 9th.**</strong></span></p>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><em>1. New Session to start soon. </em></span>New classes will  start up on Monday July 12th, there is still time to sign up, don&#8217;t wait to  start, your body, mind, and overall health depends on it!**</strong></p>
<p><span style="color: #cc0000;"><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><em>2. FREE workouts this week. </em></span>Our  regular schedule 4 week session is on a break but I am already feeling like a  workout&#8230;.. anyone?? This <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><em>Wednesday July 7th at 5:30am </em></span>we are  going to do a Reser Stadium stair workout!!! Meet at the big football out in  front of Reser or the side team gate, bring your water and a Yoga mat, all are  welcome to join in on this 60 minutes high intensity cardiovascular and body  weight exercise FREE class.</strong></span></p>

<p><span style="color: #cc0000;"><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><em>Friday July 9th at  5:30am</em></span>, Chip Ross Bench timed hill climb and workout, if you want to  see how fast you can climb to the top of Chip Ross mountain where the bench is  meet me at 5:30am SHARP at Chepenafa Springs park for a timed hill climb and a  few hill hill repeats at the top! Maybe an upper body workout! Bring your water,  you are going to need it.</strong></span></p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #3333ff;">**Bring a friend to try out one of the  workouts, they must bring a signed copy of the liability  waiver.</span></strong></p>
<p><strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #cc33cc;">3. <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><em>Fitness assessment  -</em></span>Saturday July 10th at 8:00am meet at the Corvallis High School track  for a timed mile on the track and fitness assessment. We will be doing push ups,  dips, planks and curl ups to fatigue to test your strength and endurance. NO  amount is too small, you have to start somewhere and this will give you a  starting point! Bring your Yoga mat and some water.</span></strong></p>
<p><strong> </strong></p>
<p><span style="color: #cc0000;"><strong><span style="color: #000000;">4.<span style="text-decoration: underline;"><em> New 9:00am  sessions to start in July</em></span>, perfect time if you like to sleep in and  have that extra cup of coffee!!! Sessions start on Tuesday July 13th, times are  Tuesday 9:00am &#8211; 10:00am, Thursday 9:00am &#8211; 10:00am or Friday 9:15am &#8211; 10:15am.  These can be combined with any of the other sessions at 5:30am or 5:30pm. (You  may not do 2 workouts in the same day, you animals!!!) </span></strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #cc0000;"><strong> </strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #cc0000;"><strong><span style="color: #993399;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><em>5. Nutrition</em></span> &#8211; YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT! Think about  this as nutrition is 80% of the work here. If your goals are to lose wait make  sure you are eating clean, unprocessed foods 80% of the time. Think of it like  this, eat well Monday &#8211; Friday, pack your lunches, eat your mid-morning and  afternoon snacks, drink tons of water during the day (this does help you lose  weight!!) limit your soda intake, make small changes like dressings on the side,  yogurt instead of sour cream, low fat or non fat dairy instead of whole dairy. </span></strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #cc0000;"><strong><span style="color: #993399;">MAKE SURE YOU EAT BREAKFAST WITHIN AN HOUR AFTER WAKING UP!!! THIS  TRULY IS THE MOST IMPORTANT MEAL OF THE DAY.  A simple breakfast as toast, low  fat milk and fruit or whole grain Kashi Go-Lean cereal with our fresh Willamette  valley berries or even a smoothie with yogurt, fruit, flax seed meal, simple to  make and you can eat on the go!!!</span></strong></span></p>

<p><span style="color: #cc0000;"><strong>ENJOY THE  SUNSHINE, GET UP, GET MOVING, GIVE YOURSELF THAT GIFT OF EXERCISE EVEN A WALK  COUNTS!</strong></span></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We have been doing it all this week! Two days ago we had a great <a href="http://www.corvallisfit.com/outdoor-fitnessboot-camps/">Boot Camp workou</a>t under sunny skies at MLK park in Corvallis. We used all three styles of Slosh Pipes for some great partner and solo drills. We had partners using the 10&#8242; pipe filled with two gallons of water to perform Teeter Totter squats! We also had individuals working with the 5&#8242; pipes and one is filled with one gallon of water, the other with two gallons. These provide an incredibly challenging workout when using them for walking lunges. Talk about working your core and stabilizer muscles! Great job gang! We also used the Jungle Gym to work on Hangs and everyone did a fantastic job gritting their teeth and performing this terrific exercise.</p>
<p>Yesterday morning we met at the Corvallis High School Track and had a terrific interval Tabata style workout. Nothing like getting your heart rate elevated to start the day off properly. The morning skies were warm and dry over the track and it was another great group workout. Tonight we meet at Reser Stadium on the campus of Oregon State University for our regular stair workout. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Wow!! Yesterday the Corvallis Fitness Adventures &#8220;Dare to Stair&#8221; Team competed in The Big Climb in Seattle, Washington. We had an incredible event at the Columbia Center. Our team members were hoping to climb the nearly 1400 steps in 20-25 minutes each and we absolutely blew those times away. Our fundraising goal was initially $1000.00 and we successfully raised just over $3500.00 for Leukemia and Lymphoma Research! Way to go team! Our Boot Camp/Personal Trainer Shandra Milstein really nailed our training and had us completely prepared for the race. Way to go Shandra! Here are the times of our team members that wore timing chips and competed in the racing category (overall team standings will be posted tomorrow):</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We are finishing up with our current <a href="http://www.corvallisfit.com/outdoor-fitnessboot-camps/">Fitness Boot Camp</a> and will then take a week long, much deserved break! What a way to cap off our latest Boot Camp by competing in the<a href="http://www.bigclimb.org"> Big Climb this weekend in Seattle</a>! We have currently raised $3200.00 in donations for Leukemia and Lymphoma Research! Great job to all of our <a href="http://www.llswa.org/site/TR/Events/BigClimb?team_id=25590&amp;pg=team&amp;fr_id=1110">Corvallis Fitness Adventures Stair Climbing Team Members</a>! You have all worked so very hard to get ready for this big event. All of those lunges, sumo squat walks, and stairs will pay off this weekend.</p>
<p>Last night we had a fantastic workout at Reser Stadium on the campus of Oregon State University. The weather was great and we completed the entire new side of the stadium encompassing over 1300 stairs in record time. Woo Hoo! We worked hard on the turf after the stairs with lateral runs, lunges, interval training, and then finished it off with some great core strengthening work. During our cool down and stretching we implemented the foam rollers and everyone got a chance to see what a great tool the rollers are for deep tissue massage and stretching. These will come in handy in Seattle. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We are only six days from competing in the <a href="http://www.bigclimb.org">Big Climb in Seattle</a>! We have all worked so hard to get into phenomenal shape for this event and everyone should be incredibly proud of their efforts. Not only have we been training for <a href="http://www.bigclimb.org">The Big Climb</a> but we have done all of this while continuing with our usual fanny kicking <a href="http://www.corvallisfit.com/outdoor-fitnessboot-camps/">Boot Camps</a>. All of our stair climbing, lunges, walking squats, resistance training, Burpees!, and core strengthening will pay off while ascending the stairs of The Columbia Center in Seattle this coming Sunday. Our fundraising has been incredible as we are now 200% above our goal. Thank you to everyone that has donated to our<a href="http://www.llswa.org/site/TR/Events/BigClimb?team_id=25590&amp;pg=team&amp;fr_id=1110"> Corvallis Fitness Team. You and your friends can still donate by going to our team page.</a></p>
<p>We worked in a one hour stair climbing session yesterday at Reser Stadium on the campus of Oregon State University. The temps were perfect with no rain and we did over 2000 steps throughout the stadium. What a way to jump start your metabolism on a Sunday morning!
