Our <a href="http://www.corvallisfit.com/outdoor-fitnessboot-camps/">Spring Outdoor Boot Camp</a> session is in full swing and we started it out with a great workout yesterday morning on the stairs in the parking garage at Oregon State University. We had intended to run the stairs at Reser Stadium but a rare 5:30 am rain storm made us use our back-up plan and head for the parking garage and it&#8217;s covered stairs. We had a great workout and completed 1680 stairs! We worked in sets of four and in between sets we did push-ups, mountain climbers, pulsing lunges, and triceps work. All of this provided us with a terrifically balanced workout that included core strengthening through interval training. What a great group of participants we have and all of us are <a href="http://www.corvallisfit.com/outdoor-fitnessboot-camps/weekly-meeting-locations/">looking forward to tomorrow&#8217;s session</a>. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Spring has sprung in Corvallis! What a beautiful weekend! We are experiencing fabulous weather during our <a href="http://www.corvallisfit.com/outdoor-fitnessboot-camps/">Outdoor Fitness Boot Camps</a>. The parks and trails are drying out, the flowers are blooming, and yes, that is sunshine beaming on our faces as we go through our workouts. Last Thursday we had our weekly stair climbing session at Reser Stadium and on Friday morning we had a terrific workout at Chepanafa Springs park behind Timberhill Athletic Club. The fresh air is awesome and the weather has made for great workouts. Yesterday morning a few of us got in a nice 4+ mile run as the kick-off for our training for the upcoming <a href="http://www.run4oregonwine.com/">Run 4 Wine Oregon Half Marathon</a>. We have a team of a dozen people that will be participating on Labor Day! We aim to complete that race and shoot for personal bests just like we did during The Big Climb stair race in Seattle. This week will be full of great workouts from<strong> stair climbing, Tabata interval work, Slosh Pipes, functional fitness training, and of course are ab blasting core work</strong>. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>What a great workout we had last night at Reser Stadium! The weather was awesome, the stairs in the stadium were dry, and our feet were flying around the turf. We climbed approximately 1800 stairs last night and we split up the climb into three parts. In between each set of stairs we were on the turf doing interval runs, push ups, and walking lunges. We also incorporated plenty of dips on the benches and we finished up our strength training with some fantastic resistance band work hitting the biceps, core, and outer hips. This was one great workout and everyone kept at it and ground out the drills. What a fantastic group last night and thanks to all for working hard.
